Solentiname Islands in Nicaragua is a group of small islands that are part of an archipelago in the south-east of Lake Nicaragua. The archipelago of Solentiname is considered one of the most remote, wild and beautiful on the planet. Solentiname consists of 36 islands of volcanic origin that have a total of 190 square km in total surface.
On the islands there are about 1000 inhabitants, and this shortage of people, plus the fact that the islands are protected under as a National Monument and World Heritage Site by UNESCO, make it an earthly paradise. Solentiname means place of lodging, derived from the ancient Nahuatl. We offer our clients packages, tours and hotels to explore this natural jewel of Nicaragua.
